Due to its success the BSI has transitioned the National Wheelchair Passport Scheme, to a full British Standard (BS8603), from the Code of Practice.
Puwertec Ltd lead the field in the implementation of wheelchair passport schemes having been involved in it's design, development and transition to a British Standard.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide information, to transport staff in an easy to use format, the information contained is essential for the safe transportation of wheelchair dependant service users.
Its Aim is to control risks in wheelchair seated transport by providing key
information at the point of travel.

The National Scheme will have Pan-UK application and will introduce consistency and increase safety and mobility to both users and staff

Sophisticated purpose built and designed software has been developed to manage the wheelchair passport scheme, this enables all the data to be kept in one place for ease of access.
